Launched last year, the Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB has wasted no time in cultivating a position as one of the UK’s most capable double DIN head units – and you could win one of your own!

Much of the SPH-DA230DAB’s success is down to its immense spread of capabilities, not least an ability to work with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both of which effectively mimic the Graphic User Interfaces favoured by Apple and Android respectively, making using the SPH-DA230DAB on the move a piece of cake! SPH-DA230DAB also boasts AppRadio Mode, allowing it to run and utilise Waze, a popular navigational app. Its inclusion effectively turns this into a full blown navigation unit at no extra cost.

Music is another SPH-DA230DAB strong suit, not least as its inbuilt Bluetooth receiver permits audio streaming via Spotify, plus access to a wealth of radio content through its advanced DAB receiver (perfect for the planned FM switch-off), not to mention the hardware to back up these audio credentials thanks to MOSFET 50W x 4 output power, an advanced sound retriever configured for those streaming songs via Bluetooth, a direct subwoofer drive, 13-band graphic equalizer and a low pass/high pass filter.

Said Bluetooth receiver has also been overhauled and can now handle 2 separate smartphone connections at the same time, ideal for those with business and personal phones, and it enables hands-free calling and automatic phonebook transfer.
